The Football Foundation’s Goalpost Grant Scheme empowers not‑for‑profit grassroots organisations across England to improve their facilities by providing significant financial support for new or replacement goalposts. Funded by The Premier League, The FA, and the UK Government, this scheme ensures that communities have access to safe, compliant, high‑quality equipment for local football activity.
Eligible applicants – such as not‑for‑profit football clubs, voluntary groups, local authorities, county FAs, CICs, registered charities, and educational establishments serving the wider community – may apply for grants covering up to 75% of the cost, capped at fixed maximums per goal size category.
The scheme covers a wide range of goalpost formats:
*Grant values are either up to 75 % of actual cost or the fixed cap above, whichever is lower.
This scheme offers a fantastic opportunity to upgrade your club’s facilities with minimal upfront cost. If successful, you could secure up to 75% funding toward compliant goalposts and help your community grow the game in a safe and inclusive environment.
